Finishing Framing
We were contacted by our project manager today who has done a great job of staying in contact with us and he told us we would have our Pre Drywall meeting on Wednesday. We have noticed that you need to stay on top of the work that has been performed. Initially when framing our house, a window was not framed in until we brought it to our project managers attention but we do understand that there are a large number of houses being built at once. I believe 6 houses have already completed and approximately 12 more are under construction.

It looks SO good! Good eye catching the non-framed window. I am worried about things like this, especially since so much construction is going on at once. Hopefully your pre-drywall was uneventful and ya'll are on to the next phase!
ReplyDeleteThe other blogs have had great suggestions on some things to keep an eye on as this is our first house so we are a little clueless in the process. We know the waiting of it all just seems like things take forever when in reality it is a really quick process.
ReplyDeleteWe have been able to meet some of the other neighbors that have already moved in and its just amazing to here others stories on where they are coming from while watching the neighborhood take shape. It's amazing to think that in April when we signed there were only a few houses and by the time that we will have moved in there will probably be about 20 houses completed. We look forward to meeting y'all and hearing about the process of your build. I only hope that this blog acts as a way to help you and others through the process as much as it helped us.
I have been reading ALL the blogs I can find. I have owned houses before, but am also a newbie to the building world. It really does feel like forever, but I'm also super anxious and not a patient person either.
DeleteWe look forward to meeting y'all and the other neighbors as well! Everyone seems so friendly and waves when we drive through,I love it!
